The Inspiration
The idea of a Big Sailing Adventure started in August 2016, just after visiting Norway.
Finding ISO Time
It took 2 years and trips to Greece, Germany, Estonia and the UK.
The Preparation
The name was decided – based upon a nickname (ISO). Then the logo was designed … in-house. A good friend told us later, “iso” in Finnish means “big”.
Things are happening!

Our Sailing Approach

Big Enthusiasm of the ISO Timers has been key to bring the commitment necessary for Big Sailing.
Enjoying the sunsets and sunrises, landfalls at amazing places, overcoming challenges as a Team: We are rewarded with the different shapes of grace out there!
Planning
The first 4 seasons we met all the milestones, even though we maintained flexibility to allocate more time where we wanted.
Navigation
We plan our passages before going out there. Our routes are plotted on electronic charts, and - yes - we do have back-ups!
Rewards
The passages may be challenging at times, but the rewards sure make them worth it! We go "WOW" all the time!
